MESSAGE FROM YB. DATUK MICHAEL MANYIN AK. JAWONG, MINISTER OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT TOURISM, SARAWAK I wish to congratulate the Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF) for the success in setting up its website. I am delighted to observe that the STF has made a concerted effort in getting its members from the component associations to work together for their mutual benefit and for the promotion of the tourism industry in Sarawak. Through this, STF provides an effective platform for members to resolve tourism issues with amicable and creative plans and to meet challenges facing the industry. I am also happy that STF has played an active role in the international tourism arena through its participation in the BIMP-EAGA and SOSEK-MALINDO tourism programmes. The fact that STF has been given the task to organize the BIMP-EAGA Travel Exchange 2007 demonstrates its ability to showcase Sarawak's tourism attractions. I am therefore proud that STF has come up with an excellent website for its members to link up in their joint marketing of our Sarawak tourism products and destinations to the world. I hope that this website would also serve as an important tool for closer cooperation between the private sector and the relevant government agencies for the successful implementation of our tourism activities. I wish the Sarawak Tourist Federation every success in its undertakings.
