president of the Sarawak Tourism Federation, I welcome readers and viewers
from all over the world to our website. I hope the information provided
gives you a clear idea of who we are and our eight affiliate members have
in the development of Sarawak's tourism industry.
Alongside the Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism, the Sarawak
Tourism Federation has worked hard through the years to support industry
businesses and professionals across the spectrum to further enhance their
service and skills.
Over the last three years, interest in Sarawak as a business and recreation
holiday destination has been outstanding. Initial figures for 2006 indicate
continuous steady growth with overall expansion in all areas related directly
and indirectly to tourism - including an increase in international tourist
arrivals, and international MICE events.
Together, industry professionals should be proud of this achievement
and continue to work with dedication to further develop Sarawak's travel
and tourism industry.
Our website is still engaged in major change, and we hope to make it
